Aids stretching its evil reach in Mozambique

According to a report issued by the United Nations Children’s fund, in past six months a total of 139 000 Mozambican babies born have been diagnosed with Aids virus and around 20 000 children under five died of Aids in the country last year.
Apart from this, the report also revealed that there are around 146 000 pregnant women who are affected with HIV carriers, but the good thing is that with the help of a drug treatment the virus was stopped from being transmitted to the babies.
Just like the rest of southern Africa, Mozambique is fighting hard to keep Aids atbay, though it has already taken 1.5 million people in its clinches.
